How would the book have been different if it had taken place in a different time or place? Wouldn't have changed anything. Drugs have always been around and always will be.

Make a list of facts you learned from the story. The US consumes more drugs than any other one. All the drugs come from the cartels. The government isn't really doing much at all to solve the drug problem. Pot is the number one cash crop. All the addicts want pot legalized. They don't feel it's really a drug. They say, the cartels would fall if pot was legal.

What problems does one of the characters have, and how does he or she solve it? A couple of addicts were able to go to rehab and managed to stay clean.
